Coast Mountain Brewery

Coast Mountain has been pumping out a variety of beers, from sours to deep hoppy IPA’s. They nail all the seasonal beers and keep up with the local trends and tastes.  The best place in town to get a real sense of their variety (without going to the actual tasting room) is Hunter Gather.  

Bundle up and head to Hunter Gather order a wicked charcuterie platter and beer flight to find your new favourite Coast Mountain Beer! If your hotel is too far from this location, Coast Mountain is on tap at 38 bars and restaurants throughout the village so pop you head in to almost pub or restaurant to taste a Coast Mountain Beer! 

If you feel like filling up on one of your favourites from the flight you can head to the tasting room in Function Junction a 15 minute drive from Whistler Village.

Back Country Brewing

A Squamish favourite, Back Country Brewing has made its way up the corridor and into Whistlers Craft Beer hot spots.  Back Country Brewing is known for their hoppy beer specials. This craft beer is often a little higher in alcohol percentages which can translate to double the tasting experience. What’s not to like about that!? 

Back Country can be found in over 20 locations in Whistler.  A few recommended spots are 21 Steps, Fitz’s Pub, Handle Bar Cafe and Dusty’s Bar and BBQ.  You can also head to the BCL and private liquor stores for a taste as well, not to mention the tasting room in Squamish! Their tasting room feels like a big cabin with all the beer toys you could have ever wanted.

The Beer Farmers

Craft beer has made its big day beau in Pemberton BC, where the farm land sprawls under the great Mt. Currie.  This picture perfect community has recently sprung up a few breweries and The Beer Farmers are one of them.  This is a family start-up brewery that has made their mark on the craft beer scene.  You can find a variety of their MUST try beers at Hunter Gather, Gnarly Roots, Elements and Creek Bread.   If you are wanting to take some home for your fridge you will have to hunt them down at Rainbow Nesters Liquor Store.

Bridge Brewing

Ah yes Bridge Brewing, one of North Vancouver’s darlings that has made its way into the top five tasting musts of Whistler locals and bars. Bridge brewing can be found at Brickworks, Fitz’s Pub, Labocca, Alpine Café, Bar OSO, Handle Bar and the Beacon. Bridge Brewing has been around since 2012, situated next to the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge they are a great place to sit down and have a pint, but if the drive is too far from your Whistler luxury get away you can always find them in private liquor stores and BCL’s.

Pemberton Brewing

Here in Whistler we are all about community and when we see our community grow we get excited! So watching all these new breweries open up and add to our little community’s diversity has been great!  On that note we introduce Pemberton Brewing, 45 min north of Whistler, this brewery is situated in the industry park of … (you’ll never guess it) Pemberton BC.  You can find this newb brewery EVERYWHERE right now in Whistler; Tapley’s, Stones Edge, Dublin Gate, The Mallard, Alta Lake Bistro, South Side Diner, The Beacon and Fitz’s Pub.  This craft brewery has managed to already make it into all the BCL’s and liquor stores around town. Not bad for a brewery with less than a year under their belt!
